Lion Summer Mandala
Artist Statement
Lion Summer Mandala
The Lion Summer Mandala marks an early, direct test of what the radial format could handle and what my digital skills were ready to build. Moving past pure abstract rings, this was the first piece where I broke into representative drawing, testing how stylized figures could sit inside the discipline of the circle.
The imagery pulls straight from personal history: a lifelong resonance with Leo as a symbol of creative fire, coupled with memories of traveling through southern Spain at age fourteen and encountering the stone lion fountain at the Alhambra. I drew the lion heads to read like stained glass, lit from behind so the gold, amber, and tawny fields feel hot and active against the gradient sun rays.
My background in esoteric and occult philosophy has always shaped how I understand energy flow, and here that occult grammar simply runs the composition. The work is not an academic exercise. It’s a straightforward, honest push to see how much personal vitality, warmth, and symbolic weight I could pour into a mandala without breaking its balance.

take up your own space without apology
Some seasons ask you to rest and reflect, while others demand that you take up your own space without apology.
If your gaze anchors on the Lion Summer Mandala, it means you’re done playing small. You are in a season of bold execution where creative energy runs hot and the quiet background is no longer where you belong.
This piece doesn’t whisper, it roars. It carries the unmistakable signature of the height of summer: radiant confidence, unapologetic vitality, and a refusal to dull your natural brilliance for the comfort of others.
Imagine that warmth reshaping the spaces where you build your life.
When you pull on the heavyweight fleece hoodie, you carry that golden standard with you, a tangible layer of armor and resolve whether you are hitting the gym at first light or pushing through long creative sessions at your desk.
In your physical sanctuary, the energy becomes permanent through the hero of the collection: the Framed Canvas Block.
Clean, tactile, and commanding, it translates the dense golds and deep lapis tones of the mandala into an architectural anchor for your home or studio.
