This is a woven blanket, not a printed one — the image lives in the structure of the fabric itself, the way it has in handmade textiles for centuries. Cotton, edge-to-edge color, fringe that extends the design past the border. Drape it over the back of a chair, fold it at the foot of the bed, pull it onto the couch on a slow afternoon. Three sizes. The Mystic Jewel was made during stroke recovery — not as therapy, but as reconstruction. My left hand was compromised. My internal topography was unrecognizable. I had reverted to basic tools: casting a circle, working within a manageable boundary, applying the Kintsugi principle to the fragments of identity that remained. The Japanese art of golden repair asks you to make the breakage visible rather than hide it. To treat the fault lines as the most interesting thing about the object.
